For a stay in France, we could not dream better than this beautiful property. After the electric gate, we leave the village behind to follow the path that goes up to the house and a double carport. The view is already starting to clear, a few more steps and we arrive on the huge covered terrace. Sitting in a first garden room under the windows of the kitchen, we enjoy the aromas of Provencal cuisine while waiting for lunch: thyme, chives, rosemar … Further a second relaxation area composed of 2 sofas that are made face extends outward the living room of the house, we settle there for a nap in the shade or to enjoy the sunset over the Haute-Provence. For meals two large tables: one in the shade for lunch, and one in the sun when it is softer. Before entering the house, return to enjoy the exceptional view of the countryside and the lavender fields. On 180 degrees the beauty of the Alpes de Haute-Provence spreads before you.

Provencal decoration and quality materials show the care that the owners put in this house. Far from the bohemian spirit, this house is primarily comfortable and welcoming, the three large suites offer everyone a private space, important when you go to several. And if that is not enough there is even a studio with kitchen at the pool level for those who need more independence, a teenager, staff, a lucky friend. Located on a terrace below the house, the 11mx5m swimming pool invites to swimming and games, while the partially landscaped beaches with arbours provide an ideal place to relax while watching the children.

The house in a park of 6000 m2 planted with ancient olive trees is in the center of the village and yet without any vis-à-vis. Its dominant position on the heights of the village of Saint Michel l’Observatoire, makes it a magical place removed from time. The site has been chosen by astronomers for decades for the quality of its sky, several star observation cupolas were built north of the village. In summer they welcome an audience of discoveries, it is not every day that we can look in a telescope listening to the explanations of a professional.
